Challenge #229 - "A Christmas Card" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well I have a secret to tell you tomorrow is my 73rd Birthday can you believe it? Mind you I dont feel like Im that age my brain is telling me Im still in my 50s, the only problem with that is my daughter is 53 and Im sure she wouldnt like to think that I was that age again. Anyway I think I had better get on with my post, this weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is "A Christmas Card" so I hope that you will have a card that you can add as most of us at the moment are actually making them ready to post in the next couple of weeks.
As always we are being sponsored by Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of

$30. to spend on their website but to do so you must use one of their products on your card and this could be either a Image, Backing Paper or Printable and you will find them here, but even if you dont they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really dont loose do you.
And now for my Card

This image is called "Christmas Carols" and you will find it here, and I printed it onto white card then used my copics to colour it, and then used my Nestabilitie Labels No.1 to cut it out, I used a larger one and green card for the mount which is slightly larger than the image. The sentiment is from my stash and has been stamped onto white card then mounted also on some green card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of green card, the paper is also from "Christmas Carols" and you will find it here, I then used some Memory Box fern dies along two of the edges and then placed my mounted image in the center and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "A Christmas Card" Challenge.

Pink Gem Challenges - "Inspired by a Xmas Carol or Song"

Good Morning Gemsters, well we have already started getting our Christmas Challenges and Pink Gem Designs is no different so this time we want you to use one of the Christmas Carol or Songs to inspire you to create a Card. As usual we are being sponsored by Janet Robers of Pink Gem Designs

And as a DT member we are lucky enough to be able to choose any of the images that you will find on the Pink Gem Designs website and this is the card I made for my brand new Great Grandson Toby

And of course the Song that inspired me was "Baby's 1st Christmas" by Connie Francis and you will find it here,. yes its definitely a song I was as surprised as you probably are, anyway I printed him onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens.
Afterwards I used a Crealis stitched die to cut him out and a larger one for the mount out of blue card/ The sentiment was created on my computer and cut out with a circle die and mounted in the same was as the image.
The papers are "Christmas Sparkles" also from Pink Gem designs and you will find them here, and Ive mounted them up as shown and put the image towards the left and the sentiment at the top right hand corner.

ABC Challenges - "V is for Violet"

Good Morning Crafters, I cannot believe we have already reached the letter V over on the ABC Challenge Blogspot, and we are also being sponsored by The Paper Shelter

And they are the company that I work for  I was lucky enough to be able to choose any Image to play with and this is the result

She is called "Purity" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card and then coloured it with copic pens and then cut it out with a circle die and a fancy one for the mount out of mauve card.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of mauve card and the backing papers I have used are the "Watercolour Dreams" paper set and you will find them here on The Paper Shelter website.
I have used two of the papers the pretty first layer is in greens and mauves, on top of this I have used a blue one to contrast it. I then wrapped a piece of mauve ribbon around the card but before doing so I pleated a piece of spiderweb ribbon and stuck it down with the mauve ribbon on the top edge.
I also created a bow and put this on top on the left hand side.
The mounted image was firstly stuck on a pretty circular doily and placed in the middle over the mauve ribbon, I stamped a sentiment and placed it at the bottom on the right hand side and the final flourish are the 6 pearls in the top two corners.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pop over to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see for yourself what the rest of the DT have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "V is for Violet" Challenge.

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, oh my hasnt the weather been dreadful lately, my poor dog doesnt like to go for a walk when its bad and she always comes back like a drowned rat, and the fireworks have really stressed her out this time, hopefully after this week it will be another year before we have to put up with it again.
Anyway as always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But this is always providing you have used one of their products on your card and that could be either a Image, Backing Paper or Printable and they are such good value against the British pound, you will find lots to choose from here The Paper Shelter website, so do click on the link and browse to your hearts content. But even if you dont use one of their products they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice so you really cannot loose can you?
This weeks theme is all about "Travcl" and this is pretty loose you can interpret as you feel and for my card I chose this image hope it brings a smile to your face.

This is called "Hippie Van" and you will find it here, I printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut it out and a larger one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is a piece of the same blue card that has been used for the Image, I used the backing paper from the same set as the Image and you will find it here, I then placed my mounted image in the center at the top, and I used a Papercraft Hippie Van Die in yellow and blue card and placed it at the bottom on the left hand corner. The sentiment is one I found on the internet and printed it and mounted it as shown in the photo above.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented DT have created for your inspiration and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Travel" themed Challenge.

ABC Challenges - "U is for Unlimited"

Good Morning Crafters can you believe we are almost near the end of the ABC Challenge Alphabet this year and the letter this fortnight is "U is for Unlimited" so I guess this could also mean Anything Goes and we are being sponsored by

And Im lucky enough to have a number of Magnolia images to pick from so I chose this one

This image is called "Tilda with Butterfly" and I stamped her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a large Nestabilitie Oval die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of pink card. The sentiment was one from the same digi paper set I will explain in a moment and I have also mounted onto a piece of the same pink card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card, the papers are from Nitwits "Butterfly Kisses" and I have used four papers, the first a very pink one with hearts on, the second a white background with hearts and butterflies on and I have used one of Martha Steward Border punches, the second is a darker pink background with more of the same hearts and butterflies along the edge of this one I have used a heart border punch also from Martha Stewart, the third paper is a sentiment one and this was also punched along the edge with the same border punch that I used on the first one. As I said earlier the sentiment was one I printed from the same paper set as the backing papers.
I then wrapped a piece of pink ribbon down the left hand side and on top I have stuck a diamond flower border and I then placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, the final flourish is the two crystal butterflies in the top right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to ABC Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "U is for Unlimited" Challenge.
