A Card for a World Champion

Good Morning Everyone, well I dont know about you but the weather is awful here in Gloucestershire the poor dog and hubby were soaked just by going out of the back gate, anyway they werent out very long for sure, I dont think either of them liked it.
Well I hope youve all had a wonderful Christmas and are now looking forward to a Brand New Year, its not long now only days away, I always feel its a strange time of the year those shops you hope are open are not and those you dont expect are, and of course the local council seem to have taken 2 weeks of so we arnt expecting a collection till the 19th of January, I hate to think what our Wheelie Bin is going to be like by then.
Anyway I have a very dear neighbour whos grandson won a World Dancing Championship in Paris a few weeks ago and she asked if I could make a congratulations card for him and his partner, but with Christmas I never did get around to making it, then I suddenly remembered this Krafty Kimmie Stamp and thought it was ideal for the card I had in mind, so I stamped it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it. Afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut it out and the Decorative one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers I have used are Summer Driggs Free Digi Papers and this one is "Fathers and Fedora's" and I felt it was masculine enough and slightly feminine so I hope that the young pair like what Ive made for them.
The sentiments are from my stash though the top one came with the image and the bottom is as near a match to the font theyve used, or at least I thought it was.
Well to finish of I want to wish you all A Very Happy New Year and I will be back with a Challenge for Bearlymine Designs on the 1st of January so see you then.

Well done and congratulations you will find all the details for claiming your prize on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot. And now back to this weeks Challenge, it will be our last one for this year and will last till the 9th January, as we need a bit of time to recoup ourselves plus which there will be no comments on the entries so dont be disappointed if you dont find one, its just us having a rest.
And now back to the Challenge itself, its a "Anything Goes" a real favourite among you so Im expecting lots of entries and our sponsors of course are Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.

to spend on their website, but please remember that this is providing you have used one of their products on your cards, and they have some fabulous offers going on at the moment on all their Christmas goodies so its well worth the visit to The Paper Shelter Website. But even if you dont use one they are still offering a prize of 3 digi images of winners choice and that is still a brilliant prize.
For my Card I chose to use this image.

Isnt he a cutie, its called "Are you my Friend" and you will find it here, Ive printed him onto white card then usedd my copic pens to colour him, then cut him our with Nestabilitie Labels Die No.8 and for the mount I used the Decorative Die No.8 to mount it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for the papers I used the paper that actually came with the image and you will find it here. I mounted this onto a piece of blue card, and then across the middle I used a piece of red holly ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount. I did print two of the same papers and layered up the corners and the holly wreath at the top.
I placed my mounted image across the middle of the ribbon. To finish of I used some red stickles on the holly berries and some white glitter on the mistletoe berries in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Cupcake Inspirations Colour Challenge #191 - Guest Designer

Good Afternoon, well a little while ago we were asked by Nina of Cupcake Inspirations and Veronica from The Paper Shelter if we would like to guest design a card for this "Colour" Challenge for them, and Im hoping that you might like to take part as well.

Here is the photo that was given to us to use as inspiration, and The Paper Shelter are sponsoring it and offering a prize of

And this is the card I created for the Challenge.

For my card I have used this "Santa's Cute Helper" and you will find it here, and at the moment The Paper Shelter have her on offer so its a good time to go and visit the website to see what else you can get at a special price. Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, then used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.17 to cut her out, then drew around the metal die onto red card to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have stamped it also onto white card and created a mount from some of the red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the papers I chose to use are also from The Paper Shelter and these are called "Christmas Spirit" and you will find them here, these are also on special offer so do please go and visit The Paper Shelter website and pick up these special prices while to can.  I have used several of the papers and layered them up onto mounts and they used some white webbing behind them afterwards I placed my mounted image towards the left with the sentiment across the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I used some red card and a ornament border die to create the border at the top and a Memory Box ornament die in two colours for the embellishment on the right. The last little flourish are the two buttons at the bottom and on the sentiment.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blogspot and see for yourself what fabulous cards the Design Team have created and I hope that you also will want to take part in this "Colour" Challenge.

Challenge #65 - Bearlymine Designs - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Crafters, not long to go to the big day now and I hope that your preparations are well in hand, and of course we crafters are still making Christmas cards and Ive decided if I have any left they will go away for next year. Todays Challenge here at The Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot is "Anything Goes" and we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and they are generously,

And here is my card.

I decided to use this gorgeous image "Cookies for Santa" you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card then using my copic pens I have coloured her, then used a Christmas Tree Nestabilitie die to cut her out, I then used the die to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have printed it onto white card then mounted it onto blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the papers I have used are Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Pastel Christmas" digi papers and you will find them here, and I have used for my first paper a blue background with white snowflakes on, the second is a blue background with sentiment on I cut this into a square and used Martha Stewart Border and Corner punches on it, then placed it in the center of the first mount. I then wrapped a piece of webbing around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount. For the diecuts I used pearlescent card and several Marianne Christmas tree and fern dies and cut out several different sizes and placed them in the left and top right corners, I then placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
I do hope that now youve seen my card you will go and visit The Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.

2nd Birthday Blog Hop and "Two of Anything" Challenge

Good Morning fellow crafters and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop. Our hop is a very exciting one for all of us as it is in celebration of our 2nd Birthday!!!! You should have landed here directly from The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and you'll not want to miss out on this one! Our Design Team have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice as well as the main prize, details of which are on  The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot.

For my card I have used this beautiful "Warm in Winter" image (last years image) from The Paper Shelter and you will find it here, I have printed her onto white card then used my square Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, I then used a Marvellous Square for her mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been stamped and cut out as a tag and I have threaded some red ribbon through the hole.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the papers I have used are also from The Paper Shelter and they are called "Christmas Spirit" and you will find them here. The first paper is a red one with a clouded pattern on, the second I have cut in a square is a dark yellow paper and I have used a snowflake corner and border punch on it then layered it up on top of the first mount.
I then wrapped a wide poinsettia ribbon around the card on the left hand side, and placed my mounted image towards the top, the sentiment was place in the top right hand corner, and to finish of I have used the Memory Box Poinsettia die and punched out two flowers, and moulded them and layered them up and stuck them to the bottom right hand corner on top of silicone glue and punched out holly leaves.
And now you've seen my card you will need to hop on over to Marcea's blog. Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digi's available in store.
Hop! Hop! Hop!
Good luck and hope you're enjoying it so far.

And here is my Card for this second day of Christmas.
I have used this sweet pair of birds from Meljens and you will find it here, for my card and I have actually used the "12 Days of Christmas" as my theme for my card. I printed it onto white card and used my copic pens to colour it then used the Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut it out, afterwards I drew around the die to create the mount. The Sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it onto white card and mounted it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the papers I have used are from Peerless Designs "12 Days of Chrismas" CD, and I have used for my first mount a song designed paper, and on top I have used three more papers in layers and punched down the edges with a bird border punch from Martha Stewart.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, to finish of I have used a branch and bird dies from Obsession Impressions and arranged them in the bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I hope that you will return to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see who your next stop is on this "12 Days of Christmas" and you will also see who won yesterday post, and if you return back there yet again tomorrow you will see who won this fabulous prize from Meljens.
