A Card for a World Champion

Good Morning Everyone, well I dont know about you but the weather is awful here in Gloucestershire the poor dog and hubby were soaked just by going out of the back gate, anyway they werent out very long for sure, I dont think either of them liked it.
Well I hope youve all had a wonderful Christmas and are now looking forward to a Brand New Year, its not long now only days away, I always feel its a strange time of the year those shops you hope are open are not and those you dont expect are, and of course the local council seem to have taken 2 weeks of so we arnt expecting a collection till the 19th of January, I hate to think what our Wheelie Bin is going to be like by then.
Anyway I have a very dear neighbour whos grandson won a World Dancing Championship in Paris a few weeks ago and she asked if I could make a congratulations card for him and his partner, but with Christmas I never did get around to making it, then I suddenly remembered this Krafty Kimmie Stamp and thought it was ideal for the card I had in mind, so I stamped it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it. Afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut it out and the Decorative one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers I have used are Summer Driggs Free Digi Papers and this one is "Fathers and Fedora's" and I felt it was masculine enough and slightly feminine so I hope that the young pair like what Ive made for them.
The sentiments are from my stash though the top one came with the image and the bottom is as near a match to the font theyve used, or at least I thought it was.
Well to finish of I want to wish you all A Very Happy New Year and I will be back with a Challenge for Bearlymine Designs on the 1st of January so see you then.

Isnt he a cutie, its called "Are you my Friend" and you will find it here, Ive printed him onto white card then usedd my copic pens to colour him, then cut him our with Nestabilitie Labels Die No.8 and for the mount I used the Decorative Die No.8 to mount it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for the papers I used the paper that actually came with the image and you will find it here. I mounted this onto a piece of blue card, and then across the middle I used a piece of red holly ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount. I did print two of the same papers and layered up the corners and the holly wreath at the top.
I placed my mounted image across the middle of the ribbon. To finish of I used some red stickles on the holly berries and some white glitter on the mistletoe berries in the bottom right hand corner.

Good Afternoon, well a little while ago we were asked by Nina of Cupcake Inspirations and Veronica from The Paper Shelter if we would like to guest design a card for this "Colour" Challenge for them, and Im hoping that you might like to take part as well.

Here is the photo that was given to us to use as inspiration, and The Paper Shelter are sponsoring it and offering a prize of

For my card I have used this "Santa's Cute Helper" and you will find it here, and at the moment The Paper Shelter have her on offer so its a good time to go and visit the website to see what else you can get at a special price. Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, then used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.17 to cut her out, then drew around the metal die onto red card to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have stamped it also onto white card and created a mount from some of the red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the papers I chose to use are also from The Paper Shelter and these are called "Christmas Spirit" and you will find them here, these are also on special offer so do please go and visit The Paper Shelter website and pick up these special prices while to can.  I have used several of the papers and layered them up onto mounts and they used some white webbing behind them afterwards I placed my mounted image towards the left with the sentiment across the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I used some red card and a ornament border die to create the border at the top and a Memory Box ornament die in two colours for the embellishment on the right. The last little flourish are the two buttons at the bottom and on the sentiment.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blogspot and see for yourself what fabulous cards the Design Team have created and I hope that you also will want to take part in this "Colour" Challenge.

Good Morning Crafters, well my first Team Leader blog post for Bearlymine Designs went reasonably well though I did forget a couple of things so Im hoping that this weeks Challenge post will be better, keep your fingers crossed I do a better job of it.
Anyway back to this weeks Challenge its all about a "Pink Christmas" a bit unconventional but I think the colour pink does make beautiful cards and I hope  you will think so when you see my card. Now you will want to know who is sponsoring us this week and that is Whimsey Stamps.

and they are offering a fabulous prize of 5 digi images of winners choice.

And here is my card for this weeks Challenge.

The image I decided to use is from Funky Kits and I have stamped her onto white card and then used my copic pens afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut her out, and the mount I have used is one of the Spellbinders Marvellous Square die, the sentiment was cut with one of the new Britannia Sentiment dies from Robert Adams.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, and the papers I choose to use are from Donna of Bearlymine Designs "Pastel Christmas" paper set and you will find it here, I have used two papers the first is a pretty pink background with flower sprays on, the second has been cut with Cheery Lynn doily die, and placed in the middle of the first mount, then around the middle I have wrapped a strip of pink satin ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then placed my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment across the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used three poinsetta flowers and with two holly berry's at either end I have stuck them to the card with silicone glue on top of punched out holly leaves in the top left hand corner. The final flourish are the four pink gems in the top and opposite corners.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is pink card, and the paper I used is the one that actually comes with the image, I have printed it several times and then cut out the flowers and used my embossing tool to moulded them into shape and stuck them on top of the flowers in the background. I also used Die-namic leaf swirl and stuck it down the left hand side. To finish of I have used some pink dew gems on the flowers and the top right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for this weeks "Fairies and Elves" Challenge and hopefully you to will want to take part in this Challenge.

Challenge #23 - Cards for Men - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Crafters, and happy Bonfire day to all those who are planning one today or later this week I hope the weather is kind to you, though the last weekend here has been extremely wet so no doubt the bonfire will have suffered. But back to todays Challenge, this fortnight we are being sponsored by:-

Kitty is offering a prize of :- £10 Gift Voucher

and this is what she says about her company:-

My Mums Craft Shop is a bricks & mortar and online store. We stock many of the leading brands and specialise in rubber stamping. We have brands including Some Odd Girl, Stamping Bella, My Favorite Things, CC Designs and many more. We also stock a large selection of Dienamics, Memory Box, Sizzix, CC Designs Marianne Dies. We constantly have new deliveries arriving, check out our website for more products - www.mymumscraftshop.co.uk

And the theme this time is a great favourite with everyone its "Anything Goes" so no excuse for getting out of this one, the only thing we ask is that the card is suitable for the male of the species so it can be for man or boy, and here is the card I made.

And the image I have used is a Saturated Canary one its called "Give Big Boy" and you will find it here, Ive printed him onto white card then used my favourite copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used Nestabilitie die No.8 to cut him out then used the metal die to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used blue card and the papers are from Echo Parks "Boys Life" paper pad, the first a blue background with airplanes, balloons and flags on, and for my second I have used a red background with letters on, and the third yet another blue background with racing cards on.
The mounted image was then placed at an angle with the sentiment underneath in the bottom left hand corner. To finish of I have used a Whimsey Flag die to create the corner in the top right.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and then I hope you will also take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Challenge #59 - Bearlymine Designs - "Flowers Galore"

Good Morning Crafters, today is my first challenge as Team Leader for the "A" Team over on the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and Im really excited and nervous, I just hope that I fulfil Donna's wishes in running it at least near to her standards, only time will tell. Anyway for this Challenge we want to see lots and lots of "Flowers" on your card, and we are being sponsored this time by:

Wow thats some awesome prizes and I know if your like me both of them would be welcome in my craft stash.
We were so lucky to receive a digi of our choice to play with and heres my choice.

Isnt she a corker, her name is "Princess Pia" and you will find her here, Ive got to be totally honest with you it took me 4 attempts to get her hair as I wanted it, and to be honest Im quite proud of the end result I hope you like it to. Ive coloured her with my copic pens then used the oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, then a Scalloped one for the mount out of purple card. The sentiment is one from Whimsey Stamps and Dies and I used the pumpkin die to mount it on.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of purple card and the paper I have used are Donna's "Happy Hauntings" and you will find them here, a background of purple with spiders and pumpkins on. On top of this I have used a orange paper from the same paper set and with this I have used my Cheery Lynn Spring Flower Doily Die and laid it in the middle of the first mount. I then wrapped a Halloween ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I have also used some orange card and the Cheery Lynn Pumpkin corner and then positioned it in the bottom left hand corner, in the top right I used the Memory Box Spider Corner and Spider which was cut from black card.
I then positioned my mounted image in the center and the sentiment pumpkins in the bottom right hand corner, I also stuck two pumpkin charms in the bottom left. To finish of I have used several different sized roses in the top left hand corner and stuck them to my card with silicone glue on punched out rose leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented "A" Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will take part in this "Flowers Galore" Challenge.
